Dykhuis Farms Inc. is a team made up of the Dykhuis family, dedicated employees, and contract growers all working together toward a shared goal: to be a progressive, family-owned producer of high-quality pork. Summer internships available - Join the Dykhuis Farms team as an Animal Caretaker the summer of 2026. In this internship you will gain valuable knowledge of working in a production sow farm. Job duties could include breeding, heat checking, farrowing, administering vaccinations, monitoring animal health and wellbeing, feeding, various daily chores, record keeping, and possible on site projects.

Interns will take on research projects, as well as grow their network as the spend time with various members of our industry including, but not limited to our President, the Pig Production Supervisor, and our Veterinarian.

At Dykhuis Farms, we believe in getting the right people on our team and helping them grow. From part-time summer help to management roles, or from animal care to health and operations, we love seeing our people discover their path. The more you learn, the more you can grow.
