The construction industry includes electricians, engineers, HVAC technicians, and heavy equipment mechanics just to name a few! Skilled trade professionals build the homes we live in, the schools we learn in, and the roads we travel on. Right now, West Michigan needs thousands of new workers in construction, and jobs are available in every part of the industry. Whether you enjoy working with your hands, solving problems or leading teams, construction has a path for you.
HEROes in the Future Expo
Description
Montcalm Community College is proud to partner with Ionia Middle School for the HEROes in the Future Expo — an exciting showcase designed to help students explore electives and discover important skills for their future success.
This hands‑on event brings together local educators, community organizations, and workforce partners — including West Michigan Works!, the Ionia County Career Center, and the Ionia County Economic Alliance — to highlight opportunities that help students build confidence, creativity, and career‑ready skills.
Families will have the chance to explore interactive displays, meet educators, and learn more about the pathways available to help students grow into future HEROes of their community. Be sure to swing by the MCC table for a sweet treat and conversation!
Join us on Thursday, March 19, from 6–7 p.m. at Ionia Middle School (438 Union St., Ionia, MI). Dinner will be provided.
