The Montcalm Area Career Center (MACC) is a secondary career and technical education school serving juniors and seniors in the seven districts of Montcalm County.
Description
The Muskegon Area Career Tech Center offers free career-prep classes to high school juniors and seniors, with options for academic credit, college credit, and industry certifications.
Programs span multiple fields including hospitality and food management, construction trades, machine tool technologies, software design & development, welding technologies and more.
Transportation is provided for many districts and the classes are scheduled in half-day blocks (morning or afternoon) to accommodate students still attending their home high school.

Programs of Study
Students at Muskegon Career Tech Center have the opportunity to enroll in the Hospitality and Food Management program.
Students prepare and serve delicious foods, become part of Muskegon County’s locally-grown food movement, and experience a day in the life of a manager in several of Muskegon County’s and Michigan’s most popular attractions.
Related careers include, but are not limited to, executive chef; restaurant, food and beverage, or hotel manager; event and conference organizer, travel agent, and tour guide.
Credentials Information
Successful students can earn ServSafe, ProStart, American Culinary Federation, and School Nutrition Association certifications. English, fourth-year math, and college credit are available.
